13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is a 2016 American war film of Michael Bay-directed movie focusing on American soldiers involved in the 2012 Benghazi attack. It is based on the novel 13 Hours by Mitchell Zuckoff. It was released on January 15, 2016 by Paramount Pictures.

This action packed movie is based on the events of September 11, 2012 in Benghazi, Libya when ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and Foreign Service Information officer Sean Smith were killed during a coordinated attack by Islamic militants on the American embassy. Six members of the Annex Security Team defend the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, from an attack by Islamic militants.
