Alice Through the Looking Glass is a 2016 American adventure-fantasy film directed by James Bobin, written by Linda Woolverton and produced by Tim Burton. It is based on Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll and is the sequel to the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland.
The film stars Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Stephen Fry and Alan Rickman reprising their roles from the first film with Sacha Baron Cohen, Toby Jones and Rhys Ifans joining them playing new characters. The film was released by Walt Disney Pictures on May 27, 2016.
The film was a box office failure but it became a cult over the years.
