Alida Maria Laura Altenburger von Marckenstein und Frauenberg (31 May 1921 – 22 April 2006), better known as Alida Valli or simply Valli, was an Italian-Austrian actress who appeared in more than 100 films, including Alfred Hitchcock's The Paradine Case (1947), Carol Reed's The Third Man (1949), Georges Franju's Eyes Without a Face (1960) and Dario Argento's Suspiria (1977).
