Anne Baxter (May 7, 1923 – December 12, 1985) was an American actress, star of Hollywood films. She won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe, and was nominated for an Emmy.
She had her first big role in Orson Welles's The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) and for I Confess (1953) she worked with director Alfred Hitchcock. The most famous films with her are The Razor's Edge (1946), All About Eve (1950) and The Ten Commandments (1956).
