Barbie and the Sensations: Rockin' Back to Earth is a 1987 American animated television special and the sequel to Barbie and the Rockers: Out Of this World. The two specials were released together on video by Hi-Tops Video.

Despite the dolls based on this movie having Dana, Dee Dee and Diva renamed to Belinda, Becky and Bopsy, their names remain Dana, Dee Dee and Diva in the movie, despite their names never being said once.

Plot[]

Barbie and her band The Sensations begin their trip back home to earth as planned. During the trip back to earth, on the space shuttle, they start to play a song called "Rockin Back", and a few seconds later a "time warp" tunnel forms in front of the shuttle. Then they see clocks going backward inside the tunnel, and the shuttle lands on a strange airport. After the landing they meet a Dr. Merrishaw and his daughter Kim, and learn they are in the year 1959. Since it will take some time to fix it, Barbie and the gang decide to make the most of it while they are here. First they get new hairstyles, clothes and even a nice looking car, next they decide to go to the malt shop with Kim where they perform for everyone there, Ken even treats Kim to a banana split. The song attracts a crowd and everyone joins in on the dance. Soon, the band gets a new record, photo shoots and even gives a send off to the soon to be astronauts. After a performance at Cape Canaveral, Dr. Merrishaw helps Barbie and the Sensations return to their time. Back in the present, they have a big concert, where Barbie is reunited with an adult Kim and meets her daughter Megan.
