Battle for Sevastopol is a 2015 film that tells the story of Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a Soviet woman who became one of the deadliest snipers in World War II. The film focuses on her experiences fighting the German invasion of the Soviet Union. The movie is a joint Russian-Ukrainian production, and was released in Russia and Ukraine on April 2, 2015. It also premiered internationally at the Beijing International Film Festival two weeks later.

When war breaks out in 1941, Lyudmila joins the army. She turns out to be a natural sniper, and her impressive skills make her stand out. When wounds force her from the battlefield, she travels to the United States to press for a second front.
