Bollywood generally speaking refers to the whole of Indian Cinema, film in particular, but also all motion picture visual arts. The name comes derives from a combination of Bombay (Mumbai), where Indian cinema first became established, and Hollywood. In terms of the number of films produced and tickets sold annually, Bollywood ranks number one globally above the United States and China. Mumbai is one of the largest film production centers in the world. It's important to note that Bollywood technically only refers to Hindi (language) cinema, although it is widely used to describe all Indian cinema.
