==Plot Synopsis==

Peter, a loner, meets Agnes. She has earlier been married to Jerry Goss, a violent knuckle-head. He seeks her out after he's being released from jail.

The gentle Peter becomes Agnes' protector. They hole up in a motel room together, in a claustrophobic atmosphere. Peter talks about UFO's, the Oklahoma bombings, conspiracy theories, and it starts to show that he's obsessed with the fear of bugs, skin crawling bugs, flying bugs, any bugs, and he slowly drags Agnes into his psychotic world, filled with paranoia. . .

*Harry Connick, Jr. was cast after William Friedkin had sat next to Connick's wife at a celebrity party. Connick jokingly asked Friedkin to "stop hitting on my wife" in a most evil looking and serious manner. This freaked Friedkin out enough to tell Connick right there, he might have a part for him in his upcoming movie.
