Ellen Greene (b. February 22, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York, USA) is an American actress, singer, and stage actress. She has starred in movies and on television.
She is best known for her role in the 1986 movie Little Shop of Horrors as Audrey. She is a singer who has appeared in a few Broadway productions, most successfully as the original "Audrey" in the original off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors.
Her other well known movie roles include the 1988 drama film Talk Radio, and in the 1990 cult drama movie Pump Up the Volume as the caring teacher Jan Emerson, and starred in the TV movie Glory! Glory! in 1989.
She also played a small part in the cult film Léon (1994) directed by Luc Besson, where she played Matilda's step-mother.
In late 2004, she released a solo album, entitled In His Eyes.
