Gary Oldman is an Academy Award-nominated British actor. Oldman performed in theatre productions from 1979 to 1986, making his film debut in 1982. His Hollywood breakthrough came with his portrayals of Lee Harvey Oswald in Oliver Stone's JFK in 1991 and the title character of Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 imagining of Dracula. Oldman received his first Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of George Smiley in 2011's Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
