Plot[]

Spoiler Warning: The following contains important plot details of the entire film.

At a farmers' market in Washington, D.C., Sadie, a woman seeking companionship, meets Cole, a vendor with a strong need for romance. They spend an enjoyable night together, culminating in a sexual encounter. However, when Cole tries to contact Sadie afterward, his messages go unanswered. Suspecting that Sadie is "ghosting" him, Cole's sister shares her concern, but their parents convince Cole to surprise Sadie in London. They are able to locate her through a tracker on Cole's inhaler, which he accidentally left in her bag.

Upon arriving in London, Cole is unexpectedly abducted by arms dealers who mistake him for the legendary CIA operative known as "the Taxman". Before he can be tortured for a passcode, Sadie comes to his rescue and reveals that she is, in fact, the Taxman. They manage to escape their captors after a thrilling chase through the Khyber Pass. It is revealed that Cole's abductors are working for Leveque, a disgraced former French Intelligence agent who intends to sell a stolen bio-weapon called "Aztec" and needs the passcode to do so.

As they reach a nearby town, Cole and Sadie confront each other about the lies they've told, and they encounter Marco, Sadie's former lover and contact. Marco warns Cole that Sadie prioritizes mission success over the lives of her romantic partners. Despite the tension, Marco agrees to help Cole return home. However, their plans are disrupted by a series of bounty hunters who target Cole due to a bounty placed on him by Leveque. In a violent turn of events, Marco is killed, but the bounty hunters end up eliminating each other. Realizing that Leveque is determined to acquire the passcode, Sadie resolves to recover Aztec and decides to use Cole as bait.

Sadie delivers Cole to Leveque, who boards a plane with Sadie, Cole, and the locked case containing Aztec. Their cover is blown when Wagner, Leveque's henchman, discovers a compromising photo of Cole and Sadie together. Cole manages to parachute to safety with the Aztec case, while Sadie is injured. They land on Socotra Island, where Cole utilizes his knowledge of agriculture to treat Sadie's wounds and, in the process, reestablishes their connection. However, their respite is interrupted by Leveque's men, and while Wagner escapes with the case, Cole and Sadie are rescued by U.S. Marines.

Back at CIA headquarters, Sadie faces suspension for the loss of Aztec and attempts to apologize to Cole for endangering him. Although hurt by Sadie's prioritization of the mission, Cole helps decipher the passcode and agrees to continue posing as the Taxman to lure Leveque into a trap.

Cole meets Leveque at a revolving restaurant, accompanied by Leveque's buyer, Mr. Utami. Leveque orders his agents to eliminate the surveillance on Cole, and a gunfight ensues. The fight damages the restaurant's revolving mechanism, causing it to spin at a high speed. Leveque shoots Utami, and Cole throws Wagner into the mechanism, resulting in his demise. Sadie manages to send Leveque crashing through a window, ultimately leading to his demise as well. She narrowly saves the Aztec device during the chaos. Rekindling their relationship, Sadie and Cole find a balance between their personal lives and the demands of Sadie's missions, as they make time for each other and navigate the challenges together. They also introduce Sadie to Cole's family, embracing their newfound connection.
