Hannah Gill is a fictional character who appears in the 1998 film The Truman Show. This character is portrayed by Laura Linney.

Throughout The Truman Show[]

In The Truman Show (as in the fictionalized television show within the film), she plays Meryl Burbank, Truman's wife. Meryl works as a nurse at the local hospital in Seahaven and frequently showcases various products as part of the show's product placement strategy. Despite her role as Truman's wife, Meryl is hesitant about having a child with him. Linney describes Gill as a former child actress with unfulfilled ambitions, now driven by contractual negotiations. She also receives a financial incentive for each intimate encounter with Truman.
