Laocorn Gaudeamus is the main antagonist of Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Gaudeamus and the older twin brother of Sulia Gaudeamus. He is also the descendant of Gaudeamus.
Appearance[]
Laocorn is a young man with muscular build who has pink-purple hair and multicolored eyes (his left eye matches Sulia's hair color and his other eye is amber).
Battle form[]
Laocorn wears a black suit with red pads around his suit, black vest, black shoes, and the Armor of Mars (gauntlets and legs, as well as the breastplate).
Before transforming into God Laocorn, his colors changed: his hair color changes to a lilac color and his suit and vest are barn red.
Flashback (before being succumbed to Mars)[]
Laocorn wears a black shirt and blue jeans. He also wears sneakers.
God Laocorn[]
When Laocorn wears all the pieces of the Armor of Mars, Laocorn has white hair and red eyes. He wears silver armor with a golden breastplate and golden shoulder pads. He also wears a golden crown on his forehead with silver face pads on his face.
Personality[]
Before being succumbed to the Armor of Mars, Laocorn is known to be a kind person who loves helping anyone. He is shown to be a prideful young man who will crush anyone who stands in his way. He is also shown to be obsessed with the Armor of Mars, according to Jamin.
As God Laocorn, he is more destined to kill anyone who also stands in his way. In the manga, his personality is the same, but feels guilty and remorseful after killing Athena Asamiya, while in the 2010 reboot, God Laocorn remembers Athena telling him to remember who he really is and feels bad about it, telling her the truth.
As he is redeemed and could not remember how he turns evil, Laocorn remains good for the rest of his life and always becomes friendly towards other people.
Relationships[]
History[]
Past[]
Manga and 2010 reboot[]
Laocorn was born on March 12 as the son of Tom Gaudeamus, an archaeologist, and Ella Gaudeamus, a J-pop singer, three years before his half-sister, Sulia, was born. He and his little half-sister were very devoted siblings and loved to play together. According to himself in "Act 12 - Lucky Glauber, Simon Says", Laocorn drew a picture of a girl singing in front of the audience.
One day, when he learned that their father was shot dead by a colleague, he decided to get revenge, but, though shot, he was not dead. As he wished for "incredible power", he soon became possessed by the Armor of Mars, and so, he defeated the colleague, shocking his dear half-sister. As a result of this, Laocorn soon decided to recruit servants to help him, while Sulia decided to find a way to help save her half-brother. In doing so, she took the pendant and ran off to the Neo Geo Land to find a man named Terry Bogard.
Original anime[]

Laocorn and his twin sister, Sulia, were born on March 13 as the twin children of Mr Gaudeamus, an archaeologist, and Mrs Gaudeamus, who died after giving birth. According to himself in "Princess Bug", ever since he met Athena Asamiya, he thought that she was the only girl for him to marry, which was true in "Strikeback", the season 4 and series finale of the original anime series, after Athena's mother, the Queen of Kyoto, crowned them the new king and queen after Magaki throws the Butterfly Miraculous, breaking it and releasing Kyoto, and before Athena marries the one whom she has truly loved.
Also, in "Peacock (Origins - Part 1)", when Laocorn was younger, he often tells stories to Sulia about Princess Athenia. In "Santa Claws", Laocorn recalls when he learns to ski with his sister when they're 15 years old. Sometime after that, he also became famous for drawing stories, crafting, as well as making gifts for anyone.

Laocorn decides to find the pieces of the Armor of Mars in order to become a God.
One day, when he learned that their father was shot dead by a colleague, he decided to get revenge, but, though shot, he was not dead. As he wished for "great power", he soon became possessed by the Armor of Mars, and so, he defeated the colleague, shocking his sister. As a result of this, Laocorn soon decided to recruit servants to help him, while Sulia decided to find a way to help save her brother. In doing so, she took the pendant and ran off to the Neo Geo Land to find a man named Terry Bogard.
Around this time, he and his servants went to Thrace, where he acquires the second piece of the Armor of Mars.
Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture[]

Laocorn Gaudeamus appears.
As Cheng drives away from the burned military office, Laocorn stands at the end of the road and destroys the jeep. Being confronted after Cheng refuses to return the leg piece, he tries to defeat him with Bakurai-ho, but is kicked in the stomach by Laocorn. Panni then took the leg piece and assembles it to Laocorn's leg that boosts his power. Impressed that there are only three more pieces of armor to go, he jumps up and uses his power to destroy the cave. Before laughing in delight, he declares:
- "The Armor of Mars will be mine. And when I possess it all, I will become a God!"
- ―Laocorn

Laocorn tells Hauer and Jamin to find the Armor, and if anyone gets in their way, they should crush them.
Before leaving with Panni to go to a secret room in the elevator, the mayor congratulates him, to which he agrees to help him. Panni then asks him if it is wise to invest so much money so suddenly, while he answers that it's just a smokescreen. He then asks her if she has information on Sulia, to which Panni answers that Sulia and her accomplices have split into two groups to search for the armor. As they arrive, Laocorn sits on the throne, Panni orders Hauer and Jamin to split up so they could find Sulia's friends and states that they will capture the armor when they see their chance. Laocorn dismisses Hauer when he hears that "victory is everything, a man with a weak spirit is no man" and orders them to find the armor and that they must crush them if anyone should get in their way. They agree to serve him.

Laocorn decides to meet Terry.
Laocorn and Panni were seen on the balcony of the office where Laocorn asks Panni if the fourth and fifth pieces were in China and Germany, respectively. Laocorn states that he will go to Germany as well, which, at first, displeases Panni. He then asks her if the man is Terry Bogard who accompanies Sulia. Panni replies that she did say the man accompanying Sulia was Terry Bogard. Laocorn states that his sister has taken an interest in him, which amuses Panni, who asks him how he can know that. Laocorn, while putting down the coffee, says that he has his little ways and knows for an example that Terry steals his sister's heart. He is ready to meet him.

Laocorn laughs maniacally as he is prepared to meet Terry and Sulia again.
He is then seen on top of a building, clapping amusingly after seeing Terry and Sulia. He congratulates Terry, saying:
- "I watched your little tussle with Jamin. You're as good as I've heard you to be. Terry Bogard."
- ―Laocorn
Laocorn asks Terry if he can join him in his quest, which he refuses, then Laocorn asks him if he can return his sister to him, but Terry answers that he doesn't want to think of it. Hearing him refuse, Laocorn disappears into the air, and reappears by attacking him. After Terry suffers minor injuries after his attack, Power Wave, and Jamin's attack, Earth Quaker, counter-attack one another, Laocorn is about to finish him off when Sulia stops him and manages to finally stand up to him. He is finally ready to finish him off when he is stopped by Terry's Power Geyser, exploding the building. From the exploded building, both Laocorn and Jamin wonder if they meet Terry and Sulia once again.
In the manga and 2010 reboot, in a flashback in "Act 1 - Athena Asamiya, Peacock", as Laocorn is drinking tea, he sees Athena Asamiya on television, and, upon seeing this, he widens his eyes in surprise, thinking that she is the only one for him. At that time, Laocorn desires the girl he saw on television. This is the reason the Psycho Soldier song album is released worldwide.

Laocorn's new evil plan is revealed.
When the leg and breastplate pieces are found, Laocorn charges up, except that he decides to find the crown, which Panni replies that they have no leads. Laocorn, being a thinkable person, says of an incredible idea:
- "The key must be hidden in that pendant my dear sister took with her when she left me. I want the three of you to go and fetch her and the pendant for me. Allow nothing to stand in your way. Once I have all the six pieces of the armor, we can begin to build the world covered only by the limits of our imagination!"
- ―Laocorn

Laocorn reveals his true intentions to Sulia.
Laocorn is then seen in a helicopter, where he sits opposite to Sulia, who wakes up in shock to meet him. As they arrive at an island, Jamin shows Sulia her pendant, but she slaps it away, destined to stop him at all costs. Laocorn then uses his powers to create a temple where the final piece of armor must be in here. Laocorn then takes her to see the statue of Mars, which Sulia gets so angry and mad that she orders him to stop now while he still can, but he refuses. He then drags her in to trap her and to take the crown. But Sulia stops him, telling him that if he lets the crown touch him, she will lose him forever. During an argument, Laocorn tells her that the countries and cultures were built upon the history of conquest, which Sulia states that she will let him get revenge and asks him that what he is going to do when someone wants revenge against him.

God Laocorn smiling after Joe confronts him.
As Terry arrives to stop Laocorn upon Jamin's dying wish, Laocorn crowns himself, encased in golden-silverish armor, increasing his powers dramatically, and brutally hurting Terry. He then tells him:
- "It's sad to say, but humans have their limitations. All they try and build up their bodies raise their consciousness, but they only go so far. You must have that personal understanding of that right now. I, however, have transcended humanity! I, Laocorn, have become a God!"
- ―God Laocorn
As he is about to use his powers to attack him, Andy stops him, arriving in time, along with his girlfriend, Mai, and his friend, Joe. They're no match for him, unfortunately, as he is powerful than them. As he is ready to attack Joe, Terry appears, attacking him. As he is about to attack Andy, who is holding Mai, he suddenly realizes that his arm is electrocuted and Joe defeats him with Screw Upper. However, the reason why his arm is electrocuted is because Sulia stabs herself in the arm to stop him.

Laocorn is vaporized.
Terry then jumps in front of Sulia to protect her from God Laocorn's blast, destroying his shirt. She then stabs herself in the breast for revenge, but collapses and is catched into Terry's arms. She then tells him to strike her brother's breastplate, which he reluctantly agrees. After his defeat, the four coins fall to the floor and he falls to his knees, exhausted. After his twin sister's tragic death, he suddenly realizes that the four coins melt to revive Mars. Mai is then about to be attacked by Mars, but Andy protects her, so does Laocorn, who is disintegrated, never to be seen again, although in the manga and 2010 reboot, he is not dead.
Manga (happy ending)[]
In the manga, God Laocorn tries to attack everyone, but is grabbed in the neck by a redeemed Jamin, while Sulia tells him that the power of love could free him from Mars. After being let go, Athena Asamiya arrives and greets everyone. Awakened after being choked by Jamin, he uses his power to kill Sulia, but Athena saves her, being killed instead. God Laocorn is traumatized and regretful for killing the person everyone had loved and respected. Seeing the Fatal Fury team and Sulia and Jamin cry for losing Athena, God Laocorn rushes to her, apologizing to her and hugging her. Her spirit then enters his body and purifies Mars, transforming him back into Gaudeamus, and sending him out. She then disappears into Athena's body and Gaudeamus disappears, never to be seen again. God Laocorn cries, pleading for Athena to wake up, and then, one of his tears falls into Athena's birthmark on her neck, which not only revives her, but reverts him back to normal, much to everyone's surprise.
Revived, Athena awakens in Laocorn's arms and wipes one of Laocorn's tears of joy, asking if one of his tears managed to revive her. Lifting her hair up and seeing the heart symbol on her forehead, as a result of her memories erased, Laocorn tells her that because of her sacrifice to save her friend. Athena cries tears of joy and hugs him, with everyone joining as a result of her revival. She then joins Sulia to fix the damages and revive everyone. They, along with Laocorn, leave, but Sulia and Laocorn run to Terry and the group, while Athena leaves for her adoptive home in Forks, Washington.
Laocorn and Sulia reunite with their father, while everyone reunites with their loved ones. Their reunion of joy is short-lived when Princess Athenia appears and casts a spell on them, granting them the power to become Guardians of the Planet Athenia when Athena turns 20 years old. They all agree before Princess Athenia disappears to grant everyone its power and before she meets Athena. Invited to the night club, Laocorn waltz-dances with Athena as they both fall in love at first sight. Everyone then had a dinner and discuss about Princess Athenia.

Gaudeamus then disappears, never to be seen again, while God Laocorn reveals his truth to Athena, who hugs him, reverting him back to normal, much to everyone's surprise.

Trivia[]
- Laocorn's actions resemble both Raiden from the Mortal Kombat series and Valtor from Winx Club:
- Both are vengeful when they're evil, unlike Raiden, who is good.
- Both have servants to serve him: for Laocorn, it's Panni, Hauer, and Jamin, and for Valtor, it's Icy, Darcy, and Stormy, like Darkar as their master from the previous season.
- Both are shown to have shown great interests on someone: for Laocorn, it's Athena, and for Valtor, it's Bloom, who considers him as her enemy.
- Unlike Valtor, Laocorn and Raiden make a big mistake for what they had done: God Laocorn accidentally kills Athena, who sacrifices herself to save Sulia, whie Raiden accidentally kills Liu Kang in self-defense in Mortal Kombat (2011).
- Both are old friends of someone: in the Miraculous Animals original anime, Laocorn is Athena's close friend since childhood, while Valtor kindly tells Bloom that they're old friends in the Nickelodeon dub.
- Both touch their loved ones' hair: Laocorn touches Athena's hair in order to see the heart symbol on her forehead and tells her that because of her sacrifice, he was saved, while Valtor tries to touch Bloom, who, at first, is afraid of him, but she learns to overcome it.
- Both are transformed: Laocorn transforms into a God, while Valtor transforms into a demon in anger as a result of the Trix making fun of him.
- Both are killed: in the original anime, Laocorn is vaporized by Mars, never to be seen again, while Valtor's flame is extinguished by Bloom in the Season 3 finale, and while he is destroyed by the Winx in the Season 8 finale.
