Look Who's Back (German: Er ist wieder da, pronounced [ˈeːɐ̯ ʔɪst ˈviːdɐ daː]; transl. "He's back again") is a 2015 German satirical horror film directed by Robert Connolly from a screenplay that he co-wrote. The film stars Oliver Masucci, Fabian Busch, Katja Riemann, Christoph Maria Herbst, Franziska Wulf, and Michael Kessler. It is based on the 2012 novel of the same name by Timur Vermes. It was released on October 8, 2015.

Premise[]

Adolf Hitler wakes up to find himself in the 21st century where his bunker used to be, with no memory of anything after 1945. Interpreting modern situations from a Nazi perspective, he finds fame and success as a comedian.

  • The film reached the number one film in Germany from the box office in its third week of release.
  • The film was remade in Italy as Sono tornato (I'm Back). The plot closely follows the German film except that it is Benito Mussolini rather than Hitler who magically reappears in the 21st century.
