Major League is a 1989 American sports comedy film produced by Chris Chesser and Irby Smith, written and directed by David S. Ward, which stars Tom Berenger, Charlie Sheen, Wesley Snipes, James Gammon, Bob Uecker, Rene Russo, Dennis Haysbert, and Corbin Bernsen. With a budget of $11 million, Major League grossed nearly $50 million in its domestic release, and spawned two sequels (Major League II and Back to the Minors).

Plot[]

The Cleveland Indians' new owner (Whitton) expresses interest in selling the franchise to Miami, Florida. In order to realize her dreams, she signs a new roster of completely talentless players. Unfortunately for her, they start to get good at the game, and are soon on a winning streak.
