Marvel Studios is the film production and distribution company that oversees all modern movies based on Marvel Comics. Marvel Studios is a subsidiary of the Marvel Entertainment, which is owned by The Walt Disney Company. Each film released within their current Marvel Cinematic Universe has been commercially successful. The company did not exist until 1993, when it was called Marvel Films.
