Max von Sydow (April 10, 1929 – March 8, 2020) is a two-time Oscar-nominated Swedish actor. Despite credits including Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal, Wild Strawberries, and Through a Glass Darkly, and the role of Jesus in The Greatest Story Ever Told, von Sydow is perhaps best known for his role as the titular exorcist in the 1973 horror film, The Exorcist.
