National Lampoon's Animal House, or simply Animal House is a American feature film of the comedy genre. It was directed by John Landis and written by Harold Ramis, Douglas Kenney & Chris Miller, who would also write Caddyshack two years later. It was produced by Matty Simmons and Ivan Reitman and premiered in the United States on July 28, 1978. The movie stars John Belushi, Tim Matheson, Peter Riegert, Tom Hulce, Stephen Furst, Bruce McGill and James Widdoes - college kids who are apart of the drunk fraternity, "Delta Tau Chi" which is trying to be shut down by the campus dean, Vernon Wormer (John Vernon).

Plot[]

In 1962, college freshmen, Larry Kroger and Kent Dorfman head to the "Omega Theta Pi" fraternity, were they are greeted by Doug Neidermeyer, but are then kicked out. They then walk to "Delta Tau Chi" were they meet Bluto and enter a huge party and meet D-Day, Otter, Boon, his girlfriend Katy and Hoover and quickly join the fraternity and given the nicknames, "Pinto" and "Flounder". We then see Dean Wormer and Gregg Marmalard who hate the Deltas and put them on "double-secret probation" for their pranks. We then see Flounder training in the ROTC which is ruined when Otter shoots a golf ball at Doug's horse which angers it, then Bluto and D-Day convince Flounder to shoot the horse in the dean's office, which failed when the horse dies of a heart-attack. Chip and Greg over hear a plan of the Deltas to steal their new exam, so they replace theirs with a fake test that gives all The Deltas bad grades which angers the dean, who tells them about the probation which encourages to them through a toga party and get some girls from a grocery store. They through the party sing to Otis Day's "Shout". Otter has sex with the dean's wife and Pinto makes-out with Clorette and drops her off at her parents house. Then the Deltas are taken on trail were Otter tries to good, until finally the dean kicks out the Deltas. Boon visits his girlfriend Katy, and finds out that she has been having an affair with Prof. Jennings, while Otter is beaten up by The Omegas because Babs tricks Gregg into thinking that Mandy cheated on him for Otter. After their failure Bluto makes a big speech which convinces his friends to get revenge. Bluto, D-Day, Otter and Boon ride in and create a parade float, to go to the homecoming parade run by the dean and the mayor, while Stork, Hardbar, Hoover and Flounder secure the area to make sure the parade goes into chaos. When the Delta-Cake parade float ruins the parade it reveals to be the Deathmobile, which crashes into the stairs where Gregg, The Dean, His Wife and The Mayor are sitting. The last scenes tell us where the characters are now and what their future jobs will be.
