Super spy Orson Fortune and his team of top operatives recruit Hollywood's biggest movie star, Danny Francesco, to help them on an undercover mission to stop billionaire arms broker Greg Simmonds from selling a deadly new weapons technology that threatens to disrupt the world order.

The screenplay was written by Ivan Atkinson, Marn Davies, and Ritchie. Produced by Miramax, the project will be distributed by STXfilms. In December of the same year, Aubrey Plaza joined the cast. In January 2021, the cast was rounded out with Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone and Josh Hartnett in supporting roles. In February 2021, Hugh Grant joined the cast.

Principal photography commenced on January 14, 2021, with filming taking place in Antalya, Turkey, Farnborough and Qatar. Previously known as Five Eyes, the film was officially renamed Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre in September 2021.

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is scheduled to be released by STX Entertainment at a unspecified date. It was originally scheduled for release on January 21, 2022, and March 18, 2022. But the release date has been delayed because With The Batman set to hit theaters on March 4th, the month is now largely devoid of main big-screen releases.
