Rage in Heaven is a 1941 American psychological thriller film noir, directed by W.S. Van Dyke and based on the novel by James Hilton. It features Robert Montgomery, Ingrid Bergman and George Sanders.
Plot[edit | edit source]
Engineer Ward Andrews (George Sanders) visits his old college roommate, Phillip Monrell (Robert Montgomery), at his home, where both are taken by Mrs. Monrell's new secretary, vivacious Stella Bergen (Ingrid Bergman). Despite her attraction to Ward, Stella encourages Phillip to run the family steel mill and, when he proposes, she accepts. Aware of Stella's feelings for Ward, an increasingly paranoid and jealous Phillip offers Ward a job, then schemes to ruin him and revenge himself on Stella.
