Roma is a 2018 drama film directed by Alfonso Cuarón. The cast of the film consists of Yalitza Aparicio and Marina de Tavira. It was released on Netflix on December 14, 2018, after having a world premiere at the 75th Venice International Film Festival on August 30, 2018, where it won the Golden Lion. It then began a limited theatrical run in the United States on November 21, 2018, all before being available for streaming on Netflix.

Summary

This movie revolves around Roma who follows the life of a live-in housekeeper of a middle-class family, as a semi-autobiographical take on Cuarón's upbringing in the Colonia Roma neighborhood of Mexico City, set in 1970 and 1971.
