"Ryan's Daugther" is an over dramatic soap Opera of a movie set in Ireland after the rebellion of 1916 which concerns a love traingle of a man and his wife who is having an affair with a British officer. She is subsequently forced to leave the communirty after the villagers think {wrongly} she is the informer who tipped off the British about an arms shipment and the capture of a local IRA hero
