Plot[]
In the future, Earth has become barren of all plant life. On board the Valley Forge, the astronauts are ordered to destroy the last of the surviving flora and return home. But staunch environmentalist Freeman Lowell (Dern) wants none of this. He resorts to killing his crewmates (Cliff Potts, Ron Rifkin, Jesse Vint), plunging the craft into the rings of Saturn, and going it alone with the help of the ship's robots.
