SINBAD LEGEND OF THE SEVEN SEAS
  • [first lines]
  • Eris: Wake up, my beauties. Rise and shine. It's a brand-new day, and the mortal world is at peace. But not for long. Just look at them. I pull one tiny thread, and their whole world unravels into chaos. Glorious chaos. And what could be more perfect than this? A noble prince, a priceless treasure, and a black-hearted thief. Oh, this is going to be fun. Cetus? You know what to do. Let the games begin.
  • [Cetus goes inside the earth, splashing in the water, then the boats]
  • Sinbad: [walking with Spike] Gentlemen, this is what we've been waiting for. The world's most valuable object is on its way to Syracuse. It's a shame it'll never get there.
  • [the crew laugh, then Spike barks]
  • Sinbad: After today, we retire to Fiji.
  • [the crew cheer]
  • Grum: Fiji! Fiji!
  • [the man takes the swords out, laughing]
  • Sinbad: Kale!
  • Kale: Aye, Captain.
  • Sinbad: Spike!
  • [Spike takes the swords out of the boat]
  • Sinbad: Let's get rich!
  • [the boat attacks the boat, then swinging to the next boat, taking the swords out, then they attack, then Spike takes the bone, then catapult while flying at the men, then the crew continue attacking, then throwing the bombs, then the man flies up, then spinning the swords, then sliding, then knocking the head, then the men run at Sinbad, then attacking the men]
  • Sinbad: Did you catch that last move? Pretty cool, huh?
  • Kale: I thought you overworked it. Just a bit.
  • Chum: Aw, y...
  • Sinbad: Overworked it?
  • [the guard eats the sword, then throwing the man in the water]
  • Sinbad: Oh, and I was overworking it?
  • [the man spits the sword, then they continue attacking]
  • Sinbad: Proteus.
  • Kale: Whoa. This just got interesting. How long has it been?
  • Sinbad: About a lifetime ago.
  • [the crew continue attacking, then hitting the men, then fighting]
  • Sinbad: You still fight like an old lady.
  • Proteus: Sinbad?
  • [the men continue attacking]
  • Proteus: Sinbad. What...? What are you doing here?
  • Sinbad: I'm working. [breaks the keyhole] You?
  • Proteus: What happened to you? Where have you been?
  • Sinbad: [throws the keyhole away] Hey, love to stop and catch up, but I've got things to do, places to go, stuff to steal.
  • [Proteus walks in]
  • Sinbad: [whistling] Oh, yeah.
  • Proteus: [to Sinbad] Sinbad, we need to talk.
  • Sinbad: Heard about it, read about it, never actually seen it. [walks to a book] The Book of Peace.
  • Proteus: It's my job to bring it safely to Syracuse.
  • Sinbad: Really? Now, see, now, I-I just feel bad, because you're going to get fired.
  • Proteus: You can't be serious. You disappear for ten years, show up, and rob me?
  • Sinbad: I wish it wasn't you. I do. [chuckling] Really. But...
  • Proteus: But it is me, Sinbad.
  • Sinbad: Proteus, we had a special handshake, some code words, a secret hideout. It was fun, big fun, but, uh, we were kids.
  • Proteus: We were friends! You're not going to steal this. Not from me. And what would you do with it anyway? The Book of Peace protects all of us in the Twelve Cities.
  • Sinbad: Exactly. So, just imagine how much all of us will pay to get it back.
  • Proteus: Let me say it again. A long time ago, you and I were friends. If that ever meant anything to you, prove it now.
  • Sinbad: You're right. That was a long time ago. [Proteus grabs Sinbad, then rolling to the ground, then taking the swords out] Come on. Don't get all heroic, Proteus.
  • [they both continue attacking]
  • Proteus: If you want the Book, you have to go through me.
  • [Cetus breaks the window, then they both fall to the ground]
  • Sinbad: What the...?
  • [they both get out, then they all attack]
  • Proteus: Dear gods.
  • [Cetus attacks the ship, then yelling, then attacking a ship, then Spike grabs Cetus, flying]
  • Sinbad: [chuckling] Go, Spike.
  • [Spike flies in the sky]
  • Luca: I gotcha! I gotcha!
  • [Spike hits Luca, yelling]
  • Sinbad: Well, I see you're busy. So, uh, stay in touch.
  • Proteus: [to Sinbad] Wait! Wait! You're just going to run away?
  • Sinbad: Uh, yeah. Wh-whoa!
  • [the tail moves the ship, then attacking the ship]
  • Kale: Sinbad!
  • Sinbad: You! My...! My ship!
  • [Proteus continues attacking Cetus, then knocking Proteus, then they continue attacking Cetus, then grabbing the man]
  • Sinbad: Heads up! [he lights the bomb, then grabbing to Cetus] Now, stand by for sushi.
  • [the bomb explodes Cetus, then spitting at Proteus and Sinbad, then spitting the man out, then grabbing the sword]
  • Sinbad: Give that guy a raise.
  • [Cetus continues attacking the ship]
  • Proteus: Come on! Come on, Sinbad! Let's go!
  • Sinbad: Wait. Stand your ground. [he whistles]
  • Proteus: W-What are you doing?
  • Sinbad: Hey! Hey, hey! Lobster Boy, over here!
  • [Cetus sticks his tongue out, then putting the sword on the mouth, roaring]
  • Sinbad: Run!
  • Proteus: Fall back!
  • Sinbad: [grabs the rope] Grab hold! [gives Proteus] Let's go! [they both climb up, then taking the sword] Come on!
  • [they both continue climbing]
  • Proteus: And the plan?
  • Sinbad: How about try not to get killed? Hold on! [he cuts the rope] Here, you'll need this.
  • Proteus: Where are you going?
  • Sinbad: Fishing! [he climbs on the rope, waking like a tightrope, balancing] Left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right.
  • [Cetus grabs the tightrope, then getting off, then holding on the rope, then grabbing the sword, then cutting the ropes, then Sinbad and Proteus start to fight]
  • Sinbad: Now!
  • [they both cut the rope, then falling down]
  • Proteus: Whoo!
  • Sinbad: Woo-hoo!
  • [the crew cheer, then Sinbad lands on Cetus, then putting the sword back in]
  • Sinbad: Oh...
  • Proteus: You okay?
  • Sinbad: Yeah.
  • Porteus: Thanks for sticking around.
  • Sinbad: Ah, just like old times. Look out! [the tentacle grabs Sinbad]
  • Proteus: Sinbad!
  • [Sinbad splashes in the water, Proteus jumps, then the men grab Proteus, then Sinbad tries to get out of Cetus by falling underwater, drowning, then Eris appears, blowing at Cetus and Sinbad by letting go, then landing in the water]
  • Eris: The day begin with such promise. And now look. My sea monster is dead, and I still don't have the Book of Peace. All because of you, Sinbad.
  • Sinbad: Uh-huh. And you are?
  • Eris: Eris, the Goddess of Discord. No doubt you've seen my likeness on the temple walls.
  • Sinbad: [chuckles nervously] You know, they don't do you justice.
  • Eris: Uh-huh. Now, about my sea monster.
  • Sinbad: Right, right. Listen, I'm sorry about that. I don't suppose a heartfelt apology would do.
  • Eris: [chuckling wryly] Heartfelt? From you? Sinbad, you don't have a heart. That's what I like about you. So, I'm going go let you live. But there's just one little thing you have to do. Get the Book of Peace and bring it to me.
  • Sinbad: Right. Hmm. Now, see, that's a problem for me because I had my own plans for it. Uh, ransom, get rich. You know, "me" stuff.
  • Eris: [startled cry] You're not thinking big enough, Sinbad. Steal the Book for ransom, and you'll be rich enough to lounge on an island beach. Steal the Book for me, and you can buy the beach, and the island and the world.
  • Sinbad: Hmm. You let me live, you make me rich, I retire to paradise. So far, I don't see a downside. If you keep your word.
  • Eris: Sinbad, when a goddess gives her word, she's bound for all eternity.
  • Sinbad: All right, you're on.
  • Eris: I knew you'd see it my way. So, when you've stolen the Book, follow that star beyond the horizon. You'll find yourself in Tartarus, my Realm of Chaos.
  • Sinbad: Tartarus. I'll see you there.
  • Eris: It's a date then. So, where were we? [chuckling] Oh, yes. You were holding your breath.
  • [Sinbad goes underwater, then swimming]
  • Eris: He's so cute. And so gullible. Cetus, well done.
  • [he gets out of the water, then Kale grabs Sinbad, then they cheer, then barking]
  • Man: Sinbad, you're alive! Glad you made it. Pay up. He lived.
  • [Sinbad gets up]
  • Kale: What happened down there?
  • Sinbad: [gasping] You wouldn't believe me if I told you.
  • Kale: Try me.
  • Sinbad: All right, here goes. So I meet Eris, the Goddess of Chaos. She's got a major crush on me, and she invited me back to her place.
  • Kale: Ha! That's a good one! Goddess of Chaos?
  • [the crew chuckle]
  • Kale: Oh, I'm writing that down.
  • Rat: So, that's it then? No Book. Now what do we do?
  • Sinbad: A little patience, Rat. It's not like we don't know where it's going. [looking at a ship]
  • Proteus: Men, all sails to Syracuse!
  • Man: Right away, sir!
  • [the ship goes to Syracuse, cheering, then the men bring the Book of Peace, then lighting the building]
  • Dymas: For as long as I can remember, I've dreamed of this moment. The sacred treasure that's protected us for a thousand years is now in Syracuse.
  • Man: A toast!
  • Woman: To Dymas!
  • Man: Hear, hear!
  • Dymas: To the Book of Peace!
  • Council Judge: And to you, King Dymas and Prince Proteus.
  • Man: Make way!
  • [the crowd gasp, then the men run away]
  • Sinbad: You see? This is what happens when you use the front entrance.
  • Kale: Mm-hmm.
  • Dymas: What is he doing here?
  • Proteus: At least he's nout out robbing someone.
  • Dymas: That's because everyone worth robbing is here.
  • [Spike walks while panting]
  • Sinbad: I'll bet you ten crowns you're about to put those swords down.
  • Guard: I'll take that bet.
  • Proteus: Guards, put away your swords. I don't see you for ten years, and now twice in one day... [scoffs] You're smothering me.
  • Sinbad: [chuckles] I knew you'd want to thank me for saving your life again.
  • Proteus: [chuckles] You probably just heard we had free food and wine.
  • Sinbad: You hear that, guys? Dinner and drinks are on the prince.
  • Proteus: Come on. There's someone I want you to meet.
  • Sinbad: [softly] Get to work.
  • Guard: Weapons?
  • [Kale takes the swords out, then they both gasp, then chuckling, then putting the swords away, then Rat puts the swords away, then Jed puts all of it down]
  • Proteus: Here she is. I've told her all about you.
  • [Sinbad drinks his cup]
  • Proteus: [clears throat] Sinbad, I would like to introduce you to my fiancee, the Lady Marina, Ambassador from Thrace.
  • [they both walk down to meet Sinbad]
  • Marina: So, this is the infamous Sinbad. I heard all about this morning. First you tried to rob Proteus, and then you save his life. So, which are you, a thief or a hero?
  • Proteus: Sinbad wanted to give me an opportunity to thank him.
  • [Spike gobbles all the food]
  • Rat: Eight months on the sea with nothing but eggs and pickles, you don't know what that can do to a man. Oh, it's almost too easy. There's only a handful of guards.
  • Sinbad: Forget it. Let's get back to the ship.
  • Kale: Just like that? But the Book is almost ours.
  • [she sighs]
  • Kale: Oh.
  • Rat: Wh-What? Who is she? An old girlfriend?
  • Kale: I'm afraid it's not that simple. Let's go. Jed, pack it up.
  • Jed: What? I-I... I just put the... [he groans all of it, then coming to get Kale, with Eris sitting on the roof]
  • Eris: [giggles cunningly] Oh, this is just too easy.
  • Marina: Look at this way: Now that Sinbad's gone, your father can finally relax and enjoy the evening.
  • Proteus: [chuckles] Well, you're right about that. He's trying not to show it, but he's so proud to have the Book in Syracuse. He's been planning this day his whole life.
  • Marina: And soon it will be your responsibility.
  • Proteus: Our responsibility. [looks at a sky]
  • Marina: [sighs] It's beautiful.
  • Proteus: It is. My father spent years preparing it for the Book. There are guards on every level, and if you look up to the... Ah... [chuckling softly] You were talking about the ocean, weren't you?
  • Marina: I only wish I'd seen more of it. I used to imagine sailing far beyond the Twelve Cities, discovering the world. [chuckling softly] Oh, look at it, Proteus. There's so much wonder.
  • Proteus: Marina... Our marriage was arranged many years ago. It's always been expected of us. But politics is not a reason to get married. Uh, and I don't want you to do this just because it's your duty. I'm asking you for myself now. Marina, will you marry me?
  • Marina: Proteus, I...
  • Dymas: There you are! I think the delegates from Manoli are trying to give a toast. Although, I'm not sure. They're doing something with their knees. Marina, I need an ambassador.
  • Marina: [exhales] Of course, Sire.
  • [they all walk down, then Eris goes to a tower, then sizzling the candle wick]
  • Tower Guard: Huh? [takes the sword out, looking at the candle wick being burnt out, then putting the sword back in, then looking at the book, then Eris appears, then the candle wicks out] Who's there?
  • [Eris flies by forming Sinbad, taking the sword out]
  • Tower Guard: Huh?
  • [Sinbad takes the sword out]
  • Tower Guard: Sinbad!
  • [they both attack, then punching the Tower Guard, groaning, then transforming back into Eris]
  • Eris: I love playing pretend. [drops the sword by the Tower Guard, then chuckling wickedly, then taking the Book of Peace] All the pieces are coming together. [closing the Book of Peace]
  • Marina: Proteus, the Book!
  • [the men run, then the cloud rumbles, gasping, then destroying the tower, then the men take Sinbad]
  • Proteus: Sinbad.
  • Sinbad: Proteus! It's about time.
  • Proteus: Do you realize how serious this is?
  • Sinbad: Do you realize how many times I've heard that today?
  • Proteus: You've betrayed Syracuse!
  • Sinbad: Oh, not you too.
  • Proteus: Stealing the Book of Peace, when you knew how much it meant to us!
  • Sinbad: Proteus, here's the way this works. First, I actually commit a crime, and then you get to blame me for it!
  • Proteus: Then how do you explain this? [takes the sword out]
  • Sinbad: Eris.
  • Proteus: What?
  • Sinbad: Eris, she framed me.
  • Proteus: Sinbad, listen to yourself.
  • Sinbad: Trust me, Proteus, the Book is in Tartarus. Talk to your father. Tell him I'm...
  • Proteus: This is beyond my father. The ambassadors are convening now for your trial.
  • Sinbad: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Trial? I didn't do it! Look, I left the Book on your ship, and that's the last I saw of it. You were there. You know the truth. You know me.
  • Proteus: Do I? I knew a kid. Who, are you now, Sinbad?
  • [he sighs]
  • Proteus: Look me in the eye and tell me. Did you steal the Book?
  • Sinbad: No.
  • Dymas: We've heard enough of your lies. Sinbad, for the last time, give us the Book.
  • Sinbad: How many times do I have to say it? I don't have it!
  • Council Judge: Very well, then. The Delegation of the Twelve Cities finds you guilty of treason, and we sentence you to die. Take him away.
  • Sinbad: Come on! This is a joke, right? Are you... are you people blind? I didn't do it!
  • Proteus: Stop!
  • [he gasps]
  • Proteus: I demand the right of substitution. Take me in his place.
  • Dymas: No!
  • Proteus: Sinbad says that Eris took the Book, and I believe him. Let him go to Tartarus and recover the book.
  • Sinbad: What?
  • [the crowd murmur]
  • Sinbad: What are you doing?
  • Proteus: You claim that Eris stole the Book, steal it back. You're good at that.
  • Sinbad: Hey, look, I will not be responsible for your life.
  • Proteus: You would do the same for me.
  • Sinbad: No, I wouldn't.
  • Dymas: If Sinbad is allowed to leave the city, he'll never come back! Son, listen to reason.
  • Proteus: No, Father, you listen. [pushes Sinbad] Sinbad either stole the Book, or he's telling the truth and it's in Tartarus. Either way, he's our only hope.
  • Marina: But you can't...
  • Council Judge: Proteus, you realize that if Sinbad does not return, you will be put to death in his place.
  • Proteus: I understand.
  • Council Judge: [sighing] So be it. Sinbad has ten days to return the Book.
  • Dymas: [sighs] Release him.
  • [the guards unlock Sinbad's arms, and Proteus, then the guards walk with Proteus, then sighing]
  • Proteus: Oh, and, Sinbad, don't be late. [walks away, then groaning, then they get on a ship, then blowing a torch, then lighting up, then going down while swinging, then lighting another one, then lighting all of the candle wick]
  • Kale: Hmm. [looking at a star at Sinbad, then grabbing a torch] So, any idea how we actually get to Tartarus?
  • Sinbad: Tartarus? [chuckling] Oh, no, no, no, no. People get killed in Tartarus.
  • Kale: So where are we going?
  • Sinbad: [puts the map down, saying, "FIJI"] Fiji.
  • Kale: Fiji? This time of year?
  • Sinbad: Think of the beaches.
  • Kale: Oh, beautiful, if you like mosquitoes.
  • Sinbad: Think of the sun.
  • Kale: It's monsoon season.
  • Sinbad: Oh, then the women.
  • Kale: They're cannibals, Sinbad.
  • Sinbad: Exactly.
  • [he groans]
  • Sinbad: Come on, Kale.
  • Kale: He's your friend.
  • Sinbad: Listen to you. You sound like my mother. Proteus will be fine.
  • Kale: You're sure of that?
  • Sinbad: You and I both know Dymas is not going to let them execute his only son.
  • Kale: So we're running away?
  • Sinbad: We're retiring. We don't need another score. We've got enough. Now, set a course for Fiji. Gentlemen, we're heading to Fiji!
  • [the men cheer]
  • Man: Fiji! Fiji!
  • [Spike barks, then opening a door]
  • Sinbad: Kale, Book. [opening another door with three swords on the target on the back] Proteus.
  • Marina: Look at all this. I can't believe it. Oh, but this can't be real. It'd be far too deli... [takes the skeleton part off] Uh-oh. This is more like it. Stolen from Venezia.
  • [he exhales, then getting in]
  • Marina: From Pompeii... And from a brothel in Syracuse.
  • Sinbad: [to Marina] Good guess.
  • [she gasps]
  • Sinbad: What do you think you're doing here?
  • Marina: [throws the bag away] I'm here to make sure you get the Book of Peace. Or bring back your dead body if you fail.
  • Sinbad: Really? And how are you going to pull that off?
  • Marina: By whatever means necessary.
  • Sinbad: Did you bring a crew?
  • Marina: No.
  • Sinbad: You know how to get to Tartarus?
  • Marina: Uh, no.
  • Sinbad: Can you navigate on your own?
  • Marina: Yes!
  • Sinbad: Well, good! Then I'll dump your butt in a rowboat, and you can paddle all the way back to Syracuse. 'Cause we're going to Fiji. [lays down on the bed, covering his eyes]
  • Marina: Fiji?
  • Sinbad: Yup.
  • Marina: Just as I thought.
  • Sinbad: What? [uncovering his eyes]
  • Marina: Sinbad, you're not a very complicated guy. All someone has to do is imagine the most gutless course of action, and you're bound to take it.
  • Sinbad: Hey, this is not my problem. I did not steal the Book.
  • Marina: You're really not going to lose any sleep over this, are you?
  • Sinbad: Not a wink.
  • Marina: Because me, I'd be tossing and turning, knowing I'm alive, because I let my friend die.
  • Sinbad: [groans in disgust] I'm not responsible for this mess. And I didn't ask Proteus to put his neck on the line for me.
  • Marina: Look, clearly I can't appeal to your honor. But I have other ways of convincing you.
  • Sinbad: Really? Uh, just how do you expect to do that?
  • Marina: By speaking your language. [shows a diamond to Sinbad]
  • Sinbad: [takes the diamond from Marina] Keep talking.
  • [Marina empties the bag of jewels into Sinbad's hand, then throws the bag away]
  • Sinbad: [shakes the jewels] Yup, this'll do! But not for first class. [opens the door, grabbing Marina] As you can see, we're well equipped to accommodate the most discering of royal tastes. We have excellent ocean views... [Marina shakes around, grunting] ...luxurious living quarters, with three gourmet meals a day, pickles, eggs, and pickles. Oh, hey, Spike, there you are. I'd like to introduce you to your new bunkmate, well, actually, you're his new bunkmate, as it's actually his bunk. [chuckling]
  • [Spike licks Marina]
  • Sinbad: We do hope you have a pleasant stay aboard the Chimera. Oh, if he starts hugging your leg, it means he likes you.
  • Marina: [pushes Spike] If you think...
  • [Sinbad closes the door, locking it. Spike barks.]
  • Sinbad: How did she even get on the ship?
  • [Jin puts a jewel in the mouth, then holding in the back, then yawning]
  • Sinbad: Gentlemen, we have a new course. We're going to Tartarus.
  • Jin: Huh? What happened to Fiji?
  • Li: What? No fun?
  • Jin: No beaches?
  • Sinbad: [the wreath lands on Sinbad] Rat.
  • Rat: Sorry, Captain. But did you say Tartarus?
  • Sinbad: That's right.
  • Rat: Will that be the same Tartarus from which no sailor ever returns?
  • [Sinbad pushes Rat]
  • Rat: The Tartarus of the lost souls, where they grind your bones and pickles your spleen, and...
  • Sinbad: [to Rat] No, Rat. This is the nice Tartarus, with lots of beaches and drinks. You know, with little umbrellas?
  • Rat: [muttering in Italian] Non ci posso credere, non ci posso credere, mi hanno fregato ancora.
  • Sinbad: I'm only doing this for the money.
  • Kale: Right. So how do we get there?
  • Sinbad: That star's our point.
  • [Kale spins the wheel of a ship, then Jin and Li pull the rope, then Luca ties the rope, then Kale holds the wheel, then zoom out from a cup to Eris]
  • Eris: Wow. Our little thief isn't going to run away.
  • [the creature hisses]
  • Eris: He thinks he's going to pay us a visit.
  • [the creature hisses and clicks]
  • Eris: Hmm. Let's provide some mood music. [puts the finger in the water for a spiral]
  • Marina: [she uses a sword to take out the nail, dropping on the ground, then the door lays flat, then throwing a sword] Oh, come on. You look great.
  • [Spike whimpers, then walking, then Marina runs, then Spike shakes off with a bow flying off]
  • Kale: Look lively! Jed, get the long poles!
  • Jed: Oh, pardon me, milady.
  • Man: Hey, we need a pole over here. Jin, one over here. Yeah, come on, come on.
  • Marina: [looks at an island] The Dragon's Teeth?
  • Rat: [clears throat, then drooping down] Indeed, signorina. Only the most foolish of captains would dare to sail a ship through this!
  • Sinbad: Rat, reef the fores'le.
  • Rat: Oh, ex-excuse me, signorina. [goes back up]
  • Marina: Are you sure you know what...?
  • Sinbad: Yes, we've done this kind of thing before.
  • Marina: Look...
  • Sinbad: No, there is no other way.
  • Marina: But...
  • Sinbad: And, yes, you have my permission to stand there quietly and get a free lesson in sailing.
  • Marina: You know...
  • Sinbad: Besides, a ship is no place for a woman.
  • [she gasps]
  • Sinbad: Jin! Easy on the main!
  • Jin: Aye!
  • [he grunts with disgust, then going to a cave, then the sail puts on the rocks]
  • Sinbad: Steady as she goes.
  • Rat: Rocks off the starboard bow!
  • [Sinbad turns the wheel, then they sing softly, then the skulls clatter]
  • Sinbad: Steady. [he looks at the woman on the boat]
  • [the Sirens continue singing, then the water continues dripping]
  • Marina: What is that sound?
  • Sinbad: Shh.
  • [the water tinkles, then the Sirens sing]
  • Marina: Sinbad, I...
  • [Spike barks]
  • Marina: Sirens.
  • [the Sirens dive in the water, then jumping in the water, then they continue swimming, then they both look at the Sirens]
  • Marina: Sinbad.
  • [they both go down in a stream]
  • Marina: Sinbad! Jin? Li?
  • [Jin kisses Li]
  • Luca: Come and get it, ladies!
  • Marina: Kale?
  • Kale: Come with me. We'll speak of love.
  • Rat: Oh... [kisses, then hitting the pole]
  • Sinbad: Who's bad? Sin-bad.
  • Marina: Ah, men.
  • [the Sirens continue singing, then grabbing Sinbad, causing the wheel to spin, then hitting the rock, then holding the wheel, with the Sirens jumping out, then they all sigh, then the Sirens continue singing, then splashing at the men]
  • Jin: I saw her first!
  • [Li grunts, then Marina grabs the rope on to Spike]
  • Marina: Round the deck! Now!
  • [Spike uses a rope to tie the men around]
  • Rat: Amore! Amore! Amore! My darling.
  • Marina: Rat!
  • Rat: I love you. [looking at a Siren, singing, then Marina picks Sinbad up] Il mare e le onde andiamo via. [lets go of the rope, then splashing, then Marina throws the rope up into the air, then Siren hugs Rat, singing, then swinging next to Rat and Siren, then grabbing Rat, then the Siren appears at Sinbad, taking Sinbad]
  • Marina: Spike!
  • [Spike chomps Sinbad's butt]
  • Sinbad: Ow!
  • [Spike takes Sinbad back to the boat, then the Siren kisses Sinbad, then the ship goes faster, then rolling down, hugging Sinbad, kissing, then punching Sinbad on the table, then kissing the hand, then Sinbad falls down, then Marina goes up the stairs, then grabbing the wheel, then breaking the wood, then looking at the ship and the sky]
  • Marina: Spike, the blades!
  • [Spike jumps on Sinbad, then pulling the switch, then spinning the wheel, then going up the ship, then throwing a wood at Sinbad, then the Sirens scream, then they land on the water, with the fish flying away, sighing, then Sinbad coughs, then getting up, looking at an island, then groaning and sighing]
  • Man: Oh, my precious. [he punches the fish, flying away] Wake up, you idiot!
  • [Jed groans]
  • Jin: What happened? Sinbad saved us?
  • Rat: No, Marina.
  • Crewmembers: Marina saved us? Marina! Marina saved us.
  • Kale: All right, men, snap out of it. Let's get back to reality. We got a ship to sail.
  • Marina: Here's my little hero. You were so brave. Yeah. What a good dog.
  • Sinbad: Uh... Uh... [clears throat]
  • Marina: [to Sinbad] Still think a ship's no place for a woman?
  • Sinbad: [huffs] Absolutely!
  • [Spike whines]
  • Sinbad: I mean, look at my ship! This railing was hand-carved mahogany! And here! These moldings came all the way from Damascus! Do you have any idea what I went through to steal these? [scoffs] That's exactly why women shouldn't drive.
  • Marina: Are you crazy? I saved your life!
  • Sinbad: Oh, I would've been fine. I always am.
  • Marina: Right. So ungrateful. It's just typical.
  • Sinbad: And you chipped the paint! Right here, look at it. That's more than a little scratch.
  • [she grunts, then closing the doors, then barking, then snorting and whining, then grunting angrily]
  • Sinbad: The dog and the crew and th-th-that woman! [knocking at the door, then looking at the men, then he continues knocking]
  • Marina: What?!
  • Sinbad: Thank you! You're welcome!
  • Marina: Don't worry about it!
  • Sinbad: I won't!
  • Marina: Good!
  • Sinbad: Good-bye!
  • Marina: Bye to you! [closing the door, then he huffs, then the crew murmur while walking away, then panting]
  • Sinbad: You happy now?
  • [Spike continues panting, then he scoffs, then walking away, with the pants torn at the back, then cut to the town, opening a door]
  • Dymas: Proteus, come quickly.
  • Proteus: What? Wh...?
  • Dymas: There's a ship waiting in the harbor. A crew of my most trusted officers will take you far from Syracuse.
  • Proteus: But the ambassadors' guards?
  • Dymas: Are asleep or well-bribed. But we must go now.
  • Proteus: Go where? To live the rest of my life in exile?
  • Dymas: To live, son. I won't let them execute you for Sinbad's crime.
  • Proteus: Neither will Sinbad.
  • Dymas: Proteus, don't be foolish! Sinbad has no intention of going to Tartarus. The Sinbad you knew as a child is...
  • Proteus: Is still in him as a man. I've seen it.
  • Dymas: Proteus... [sighs]
  • Proteus: [to Dymas] Go, Father. I know what I'm doing.
  • [Dymas puts his hand down on Proteus, then walking to a window, then closing the door, then locking the door, then sighing, then cut back to the island]
  • Kale: All right, listen up. We're here for ten minutes. You get lost, you get left.
  • Sinbad: [groaning] How did one woman do so much damage?
  • [the wood breaks]
  • Sinbad: All right, I'm going to need the full set of chisels, the jack plane, and about a cord of cut wood.
  • Kale: All right, men, you heard the captain. Find some logs ajd be quick about it.
  • Marina: Oh, for heaven's sake! You only need a little tree sap, and she'll be as good as new.
  • Sinbad: When I want your advice, I'll... [to Marina] Hey, hey, hey! Where do you think you're going? Well, fine! At least take someone with y...
  • Li: May I assist you, lady?
  • Marina: Why, thank you.
  • Rat: Right this way, signorina.
  • Marina: How nice to see some men haven't forgotten a little common courtesy.
  • Woman: ...common courtesy.
  • Sinbad: Not so fast.
  • Kale: [puts the bucket down] But you know she's right. The treep sap would be perfect for...
  • Sinbad: Just stay with the ship. [he gets off of the ship]
  • [the men walk down]
  • Sinbad: I already said thank you. That's what this is all about, isn't it?
  • Marina: It's about repairing the ship. If I break something, I fix it. Um, knife, please.
  • Sinbad: Oh, yeah, like I'd give you a weapon?
  • [the men take the swords out]
  • Marina: Thank you, Rat.
  • Rat: You know, you really ought to be a little more courteous. [chuckling]
  • Sinbad: [punches Rat] Oh, great. Now I'm getting etiquette lessons from a bilge rat.
  • Luca: Well, she did save the ship, Captain.
  • Marina: Why, thank you, Luca.
  • Rat: And now she's helping to fix it.
  • Jin: Very handy, I say. And brave!
  • Sinbad: This girl wouldn't know how to fix a broken fingernail!
  • Marina: Honestly, you are the most boorish, pig-headed man I've ever met.
  • Sinbad: Hey, lady, I've seen the highborn boys your type hangs out with... [chuckling] ...and I'm the only man you've ever met. [walks away, then Marina throws a bucket at Sinbad]
  • Man: Whoa.
  • Marina: Hmm. [chuckling softly] Oh, no. No. No. No... No... [throws at Marina, falling to the ground]
  • Jin: Five on Marina.
  • Marina: [groans while taking it off] You, you, egotistical...
  • Sinbad: You spoiled...
  • Marina: ...disrespectful... [grabbing a crab]
  • Sinbad: ...deluded...
  • Marina: ...pretentious, pompous...
  • Sinbad: ...high-and-mighty...
  • Marina: ...self-centered, untrustworthy, ungrateful, impossible, insufferable...
  • Sinbad: At least I'm not repressed!
  • Marina: Repressed?! I'll show you repressed! [grabs a rock, then rumbling, then gasping, then the birds fly away]
  • Sinbad: What the...?
  • [they hear a low whoosh]
  • Sinbad: [to Marina, quietly] Put it back.
  • [Marina chuckles, then puts the rock down, then opening the eye]
  • Sinbad: Whoa! Whoa!
  • Rat: Whoa, whoa... [lands on the eyeball] Ew...
  • [Spike runs and lands on the eyeball, then licking the eyeball, then moving the pupil, then they all yell, then growling, then the anglerfish appears]
  • Sinbad: Run! It's a fish!
  • Man: It's a fish!
  • Sinbad: Kale! Kale!
  • [the ship causes a loud thud]
  • Kale: Whoa!
  • [the fin splashes next to the ship, then yelling]
  • Man: Jump!
  • [she screams while they tackle, then they all fall down, then they all slide down]
  • Sinbad: Kale!
  • Kale: Got it!
  • [they continue sliding down, then they land on a boat]
  • Sinbad: Veer off, Kale!
  • Marina: The star!
  • [they transform to the night sky]
  • Sinbad: Hold your heading! Rat, tie it off!
  • Rat: Wha, wha...
  • Sinbad: [throws the rope at the anglerfish] Ha-ha!
  • Rat: Wait!
  • [Sinbad flies to the ground, then laughing, then looking at a fin, and a boat]
  • Sinbad: Yee-ha!
  • [the boat goes faster like wakeboarding, then groaning]
  • Kale: Sinbad! The men can't take much more.
  • Sinbad: [groaning] I can't take much more, either. Cut the line!
  • [the sword cuts the rope, then the men groan, gag, and moan, then he belches]
  • Man: Oh, no, Spike! Whoa, hold on, no... No, no, no, please... Oh, Spike!
  • Jed: Hey, where'd he get the carrots?
  • Sinbad: [sits down, groaning] Whose idea was that again?
  • Marina: I don't know. [chuckling] But he owes me lunch.
  • Sinbad: The Granite Gates. Bet you never thought I'd get us this far.
  • Marina: [chuckling] No, I didn't. But Proteus did. For some reason, he trusts you.
  • Sinbad: [chuckles softly] Well, what could he have been thinking?
  • Marina: How did you two ever meet?
  • Sinbad: [chuckling] Running for my life, as usual. A couple of angry thugs had cornered me outside the palace walls. I was trapped. A sword at my throat, at my chest, at my...
  • Man: Pickles and eggs!
  • [the men groan]
  • Sinbad: [clears throat, then throwing the sword away] Well, you get the idea. And then suddenly, there was a fourth blade. It was Proteus. You see, he'd watched it all from his room in the palace. He actually climbed down the castle wall to fight at my side, and, boy, did we fight. It was like we'd rehearsed it. We were best friends from that day forward.
  • Marina: What happened with you two? [chuckling softly] What is it?
  • Sinbad: We took different paths.
  • [cut to the bubbles with Marina inside with Eris]
  • Eris: Enough talking. Time for some screaming. [he blows the bubble forming an ice, like a ball, then shaking the ball, then they all freeze up, the water at Spike]
  • Sinbad: For crying out loud, what next? Oh, get a shirt on before you poke someone's eye out. Okay, guys, get down there and break it up! We've got to keep moving!
  • Rat: [chopping the iceberg] Steal the Book of Peace. [shivering, then he continues chopping] We will retire in the tropics. [continues chopping, then Spike barks, then they continue chopping, then barking, then looking at a wind, causing a loud swoosh, then they gasp, then barking, then whimpering, causing a loud boom, with the Roc to appear, then Rat runs away, then gasping, then flying]
  • Sinbad: Everyone, back on the ship!
  • Marina: Hurry!
  • Kale: Come on! Come on! Move faster!
  • [Jed continues running, then jumping in the water, then breaking the iceberg]
  • Marina: Jed!
  • [Jed gets out of the water, trying to climb up]
  • Marina: Grab the rope! [grabs the rope to Jed, then climbing up]
  • Kale: Rat, your hand!
  • Sinbad: Marina!
  • [the Roc grabs Marina, then Sinbad tries to get Marina out of the Roc, screaming, then crying, then falling down, then the Roc appears, gasping, then pounding steps and screeching, then running away, then grabbing Marina on a mouth, then chomping it up, then throwing away, then running away, while growling and screeching, then looking at the Roc]
  • Sinbad: Rat! Don't let the blocks freeze!
  • Rat: Aye, aye, Captain.
  • Sinbad: And, Kale!
  • Kale: Aye!
  • Sinbad: Give me a hug?
  • Kale: [grunting] Excuse me?
  • [Sinbad grabs the swords]
  • Kale: Hmph.
  • Sinbad: [grabs a shield, then putting on the back, then putting a crossbow up, then whistling, then grabbing a bone, then catapulting to the mountain, then putting a sword in the mouth, then flying up, then putting swords on the mountain, then sliding down, groaning, then shaking it off, then climbing up] Oh, she couldn't see the bird? Everyone else saw it. [continues climbing up] It's as big as a freakin' ship. Marina? Marina's looking the other way.
  • [the Roc appears at Marina, looking at the Roc, then grabbing Marina]
  • Sinbad: Shh, shh, shh.
  • [the Roc bangs at Sinbad and Marina]
  • Marina: You're rescuing me!
  • Sinbad: Yes, if that's what you want to call it. But this going to cost you another diamond. Rescues aren't part of the usual tourist package.
  • [they both walk away, then gasping, they they both duck]
  • Marina: [whispering] So, how are we going to get down?
  • Sinbad: I... I don't know.
  • Marina: What?!
  • Sinbad: I don't know yet. I'm thinking about it, all right?
  • Marina: You scaled a thousand-foot tower of ice, and you don't know how to get down?
  • Sinbad: Of all the ungrateful... [grunting] Look, if you'd rather take your chances on your own, that can be arranged.
  • Marina: Shh-shh-shh-shh. All right. All right.
  • [they both duck under, causing a loud rumble]
  • Marina: So, what do we have to work with? Um, ropes?
  • Sinbad: Uh, no.
  • Marina: Uh, grappling hooks?
  • Sinbad: Yeah, no.
  • Marina: And your swords?
  • Sinbad: [grunts softly] Hey, I've got this. [grabbing a sword]
  • Marina: Oh, great. He can pick his teeth when he's down with us.
  • Sinbad: Yeah. Okay. See, in the hands of an expert, a good knife has 1,001 uses.
  • [the knife breaks the ice, then the Roc appears]
  • Sinbad: [chuckling] Uh... Run!
  • [they both run away]
  • Sinbad: Come on! Faster!
  • [they both continue running away from an Roc]
  • Marina: W-Wait, wait. What? Let's go!
  • [they both jump down]
  • Marina: No...! Oh! Oh!
  • [they both hit the snow, then sliding down]
  • Sinbad: I think we lost him!
  • Marina: I don't think so!
  • Sinbad: Heads down! [grabs a shield]
  • [the beak snaps shut while they both duck]
  • Sinbad: Wh-Wh-Wh-Wh-Whoa! Whoa!
  • [she yells, then they continue sliding, then dropping a rock]
  • Sinbad: Oh, no!
  • [they both go flying up, then they continue sliding down, then yelling]
  • Sinbad: Lean right!
  • [they both slide to a cave, then looking down]
  • Sinbad: Whew.
  • [the Roc breaks the wall, screaming]
  • Sinbad: Come on!
  • [they both fall down, then flying up, then they continue sliding down by looking at an icicles]
  • Sinbad: Hang on!
  • [they both slide around in a circle, then taking the sword out, then they continue sliding down, then killing the Roc, causing explosion, then they both fall down]
  • Kale: Yep, there they are.
  • [Li flips the coin to Jin, then they continue falling down by ripping a sail, grunting, panting]
  • Sinbad: There... [clicks tongue] just as I planned.
  • [she laughs softly, then they grab a sail]
  • Crew: It's Marina!
  • [they pick up Marina]
  • Rat: [sobbing] We thought you were gone forever!
  • Sinbad: [clears throat] Oh, I'm fine. Really. But I'm touched by your concern. [the bones crack, causing a loud rumble by dominoes, then splashing in the water, then they all cheer]
  • Marina: Yee-ha!
  • [the crew laugh and cheer, then cut at night, with Marina walking up, inhaling]
  • Marina: Sinbad? [exhaling] Thank you for coming after me.
  • Sinbad: Well, y... you're welcome.
  • Marina: The life suits you.
  • Sinbad: [chuckling] Yeah. I wasn't made for dry land. [chuckling] And you? Is it the shore, or the sea?
  • Marina: I've always loved the sea. I even dreamed of a life on it. But it wasn't meant to be. I have responsibilities in Syracuse.
  • Sinbad: You really have to give it up?
  • Marina: Yes.
  • [he sighs quietly, then putting a hand on Marina, then gasping softly, then Marina goes to a wheel]
  • Sinbad: You know, I've traveled the world, seen things no other man has seen, but nothing, nothing compares to the open sea.
  • Marina: And is this what you always wanted?
  • Sinbad: [chuckling] Not really. When we were young, Proteus and I used to talk about joining the Royal Navy and serving Syracuse side by side. But as we got older, our lives began to change. He's a prince, and I'm well. [chuckling] I was never jealous of him, though, until one morning, a ship came into harbor, a ship with his future on it. It was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen.
  • Marina: [whispering] What was on the ship?
  • Sinbad: You. Proteus met you at the dock. I jumped on the first outbound ship and never looked back. Until now.
  • [they both grab hands, then putting a hand on Sinbad, then they look at a comet whooshing at the star, causing an explosion]
  • Sinbad: The gates of Tartarus.
  • [Kale climbs up, and the crew climb up, then they both continue going]
  • Sinbad: Rat! Give me a lookout!
  • Rat: [climbs up] We're dead.
  • Sinbad: What is it?!
  • Rat: I-I-It just ends, Captain! It's the edge of the world!
  • [they both continue going]
  • Jin: [to Li] Pay up. It's flat.
  • [Li grabs the coins to Jin]
  • Luca: Well, that's it. Time to go home.
  • Kale: Nuh-uh-uh. The captain hasn't given his orders yet.
  • [he sighs]
  • Sinbad: [quietly] Follow that star beyond the horizon. Beyond the horizon.
  • [the wind whips, then the flags flutter]
  • Marina: Sinbad?
  • Sinbad: Men! All hands to your posts! Free all sheets! Wait for my command!
  • Kale: What?
  • Sinbad: Now! Go! Go! Go!
  • Kale: Eh, Sinbad, how-how are we gonna pull this off?
  • Sinbad: Just trust me. Rat! Rig the main yard to the fors'le!
  • Rat: But that would stop us dead!
  • Sinbad: Just do it!
  • Rat: Aye, aye, Captain. [he walks on the pole, then going down]
  • Sinbad: Slack to all sheets!
  • Luca: Aye, aye, Cap'n!
  • Sinbad: Cut the fore and main trusses!
  • Rat: Move! Move! Move!
  • [the men speak Cantonese]
  • Luca: [tying it up] I got it. I got it. I got it.
  • Sinbad: Aft yard astern!
  • Jed: But that's...
  • Sinbad: Crazy, I know! Now hurry!
  • [the man pulls the rope down, then speaking Cantonese]
  • Jed: Here, grab it!
  • Rat: Go!
  • Sinbad: Swing the fors'le to port! Ease the aft! Full hoist to forward sails!
  • Marina: Aye, aye, Captain.
  • Luca: Come on!
  • Sinbad: Pull!
  • [Kale pulls the wheel by putting up the sail, then the wind continues whipping]
  • Sinbad: Tie off all sails! All hands amidships! And pray to the gods. We may be meeting them soon.
  • [the men go to Tartatus]
  • Rat: We're going to die.
  • [the wind blows the man, then gasping while looking down, then blowing the hat off, then they all fall down]
  • Sinbad: Hold on! Grab the rope!
  • [the ship continues falling closer]
  • Sinbad: Come on, come on, come on, come on!
  • [they use wings of a ship, with the men falling down, then flying, then snapping the sails, then they hear a thunder crashing, then flying, while gasping, and barking]
  • Sinbad: It worked?
  • Kale: Sinbad... [chuckling] ...you did it.
  • [the men fly the ship, then hearing a thunder crashing, then breaking apart, then they all break]
  • Man: Grab hold!
  • Sinbad: Grum, hard to port!
  • Grum: Hard to port!
  • [the crew shout]
  • Sinbad: Kale!
  • Kale: Aye!
  • Sinbad: If I don't make it, the ship is yours.
  • Kale: No.
  • Sinbad: Gentlemen, it's been a privilege robbing with you.
  • Marina: I'm coming with you. And don't tell me the Realm of Chaos is no place for a woman.
  • Sinbad: [chuckles softly, then grabbing the rope to Marina] Hmm. I would never say that.
  • [Spike barks, then whimpering]
  • Sinbad: Hey, sorry, boy. Not this time.
  • [the dog whines, then they both look at a light, then holding hands, then they both jump down, then swinging to the light, then they both go inside by falling in the desert, then blowing the wind at Sinbad and Marina by sliding down, then looking at the wrecked ship, then panting, then laying down, looking at the men statue, then grabbing Marina, looking at a building, then the creature appears at Sinbad and Marina, then the creatures all appear at Sinbad and Marina, then taking the swords out]
  • Eris: Now, now, my pets. Is this anyway to treat a guest?
  • [the desert melts down]
  • Sinbad: Okay, I'm severely creeped out.
  • Eris: Bravo. No mortal has ever made it to Tartarus before. [chuckling] Alive, that is... [chuckling] Make yourself at home.
  • Sinbad: [chuckling nervously] Thank you. Uh, nice place you got here.
  • Eris: Like it? I'm planning the whole world this way.
  • Sinbad: Wow, that's a good plan. Well, I see you're busy, so listen, we'll just take the Book of Peace and get of your way.
  • Eris: [chuckling] What makes you think I have it?
  • Sinbad: Uh, well, you framed me for the theft, so they would execute me.
  • Eris: You?
  • Sinbad: Yeah. No. Proteus! You knew he would take my place.
  • Eris: [chuckling] What a clever little man you are.
  • Sinbad: You thought I'd run. Then Proteus would die, and Syracuse would be...
  • Eris: Left without the next rightful king, and tumble into glorious chaos. You humans are so predictable. Proteus couldn't help being ever so noble, and you couldn't help betraying him.
  • Sinbad: But I didn't betray Proteus! I didn't run away.
  • Eris: Oh, but you did betray him. You stole his only love. Look at her, Sinbad. [pushes Marina] He's not even in his grave yet, and you're moving in on his girl. Face it: your heart is as black as mine.
  • Marina: You're wrong about him!
  • Eris: He knows I'm not!
  • Marina: You don't know what's in his heart.
  • Eris: Oh, yes, I do. And more importantly, so does he. In your heart, you know that Proteus is going to die because he saw something in you that just isn't there.
  • Sinbad: No.
  • Eris: You want to bet? I'll tell you what. Let's play a game. And if you win, I'll give you the Book of Peace.
  • [the ground rumbles by revealing the Book of Peace]
  • Eris: There it is, noble hero.
  • [Sinbad tries to get the Book of Peace, then breaking the floor]
  • Eris: Not so fast. My game has rules, Sinbad. I'll ask you a question. One simple question. If you answer truthfully, the Book is yours.
  • Sinbad: Give me your word.
  • Eris: [exasperated sigh] You still don't trust me?
  • Sinbad: Uh, no.
  • Eris: [exhales] Isn't it a pity we live in such skeptical times? Oh, all right. You have my word, as a goddess. [draws an X] Fair enough?
  • Sinbad: Ask your question.
  • Eris: Excellent. Now, we all know what happens if you get the Book of Peace. You return it to Syracuse and save Proteus. But if you don't get the Book, you have a choice to make. Either sail to paradise with the woman of your dreams, or return to Syracuse to die. You're either a thief or a hero. So, here's my question, Sinbad. If you don't get the Book, will you go back to die? [disappears in the wind]
  • Sinbad: [looking around] I will go back. [tries to get the Book of Peace]
  • Eris: [she appears] You're lying.
  • [the ground breaks completely, then trying to get the Book of Peace, then they both fall down, leaving the Book of Peace, then chuckling wickedly, then they both land, then sitting down, inhaling, then sighing]
  • Sinbad: I'm sorry, Marina. Eris is right about me.
  • Marina: No, she's not. You answered her question. You told the truth.
  • Sinbad: It wasn't the truth. It was me trying to pass myself off as someone I'm not.
  • Marina: Sinbad, I've seen who you are! You don't need to pretend! Eris trapped you! Why should you or Proteus or anyone have to die?!
  • Sinbad: Marina...
  • Marina: No! You need to escape. Get as far away as you can. I'll go back. I'll explain everything.
  • Sinbad: No, Marina.
  • Marina: [sobbing] I can't watch you die! I love you.
  • [he looks at a ship, then touching Marina]
  • Sinbad: But could you love a man who would run away?
  • [wipes the tear off, then they both hug, then cut to the town, looking at the half sun, and the men, then putting the hand out, then putting down on the ground, then bowing, then putting on the wood, then taking out the ax, then starting to cut Proteus, then the sword cuts the ax, then landing by the face of Proteus by looking at the reflection, then they all appear]
  • Sinbad: I bet you thought I wouldn't make it.
  • Proteus: [exhaling] I was.. [gulping] ...beginning to wonder. [they both hug] The Book?
  • Sinbad: I did my best. It wasn't enough.
  • Proteus: No. You came back anyway.
  • Sinbad: How could I do anything else, my friend?
  • [Proteus puts his hand down, then Spike whimpers, then walking, then putting down, then barking, then grabbing Spike, then the crowd murmur, then putting the face down, then looking at a knife, then hugging Spike, then he closed his eyes, then cutting glass, tinkling, then the crowd gasp, and they exclaim, by looking around]
  • Dymas: Get back!
  • [he looks at the wind, then Eris appears, then the men gasp]
  • Eris: [to Sinbad] How dare you?! Everything was going perfectly, and now you do this!
  • [the wood splashes in the water]
  • Sinbad: Eris, I don't understand.
  • Eris: Don't play coy with me. Maybe you can fool these people, but I know who you are. You're a selfish, unprincipled liar!
  • Sinbad: Wait a minute. I didn't lie. I came back. That's why you're here. This was all part of your test. I told the truth. And wasn't there something about being "bound for all eternity"?
  • [she gasps, then grunts, then sighing, then putting the hand down, revealing the Book of Peace, then Sinbad takes the Book of Peace]
  • Sinbad: Well, well, well. This has got to be a little embarrassing for you, Eris.
  • Eris: [chuckling softly] Don't push your luck, Sinbad. You're cute, but not that cute. And lucky for you, I've got places to go, things to destroy, stuff to steal. Ta.
  • [disappears in the sky, then sighing, then opening the Book of Peace, by looking at it, then transforming the sky back to their whole world, then the crowd cheer]
  • Proteus: You know, for what it's worth, I think council believes you now.
  • [they look at the men, with the hat falling down off of his head]
  • Sinbad: [to Proteus] You think?
  • [the crowd cheer, then chuckling, then taking the Book of Peace]
  • Sinbad: King Dymas. Uh, whoa, hey. How much you got on you?
  • Dymas: I offer you the gratitude of the Twelve Cities, and the apology of a king.
  • Sinbad: [chuckles] No, really. How much?
  • Dymas: Sinbad.
  • [he takes the Book of Peace to Dymas, then the crowd applaud]
  • Proteus: Come on. This is going to be a heck of a party. Everyone's going to want to hear about the voyage.
  • Sinbad: Fair winds, calm seas. Nothing much to tell.
  • Proteus: [chuckling] What's the matter? No fun if you're actually invited?
  • Sinbad: No, it's just, uh, there's a hammock in Fiji with my name on it. [he grabs the hand on Proteus]
  • Proteus: Good sailing, Sinbad.
  • Sinbad: [to Proteus] Get a haircut. You're going to be king someday.
  • [the crowd applaud while Sinbad walks away, then Rat puts his arm on Marina, then whimpering while petting the dog, then Rate walks away with Kale, then the crowd continue cheering, then Marina walks away, then looking down]
  • Proteus: Just another uneventful day in Syracuse.
  • [she chuckles softly]
  • Proteus: You know, I stood here with a woman once. She looked over the ocean and wished she could sail beyond the horizon. She saw such wonder.
  • Marina: And what happened to this woman?
  • Proteus: She got her chance. She sailed the seas, and she feel in love.
  • Marina: [sighs] Proteus, I...
  • Proteus: Marina, follow your heart. Mine is here in Syracuse. Yours... yours is sailing with the next tide.
  • Marina: [hugging Proteus, sighing] Oh, Proteus. [the tear falls on his eye, then they continue hugging]
  • Kale: Captain?
  • Sinbad: Hmm?
  • Kale: We're ready to sail.
  • Sinbad: All right, Kale. Take us out.
  • Kale: Aye, aye, Captain. Cast off!
  • [Spike whimpers, then they all go]
  • Sinbad: [the ropes land in his head] Oh, Rat!
  • Rat: What? [chuckling]
  • Marina: Excuse me, Captain. You need to replace these rig joints pretty soon. The mizzen ropes need the support.
  • Sinbad: These joints were from the Jasmine Sea. That's halfway around the world.
  • Marina: Then we'd better get started.
  • Sinbad: [cuts the rope, then flying on the pole] Well, you know, that means going through the Hydra's lair.
  • Marina: Mm-hmm.
  • Sinbad: The Minotaur's haven.
  • Marina: Mm-hmm.
  • Sinbad: The Cyclops' Den.
  • Marina: Mm-hmm.
  • Sinbad: Under the Swansea Bridge.
  • Marina: Mm-hmm.
  • Sinbad: Through the China Seas. That's a very long voyage. And it's very, very dangerous.
  • [last lines]
  • Marina: Don't worry. I'll protect you.
  • [they both kiss, then barking, then pulling a bone, then flying to Sinbad and Marina, then they attack while grunting]
  • Sinbad: Oh, Spike.
  • Marina: [chuckling] Spike.
  • Sinbad: Spike, down.
