Takashi Shimura (志村 喬, Shimura Takashi, March 12, 1905 – February 11, 1982) was a Japanese actor. He is known for his collaboration with Akira Kurosawa, appearing in many of his films (more than any other actor), such as Drunken Angel, Rashomon, Ikiru and Seven Samurai.
