Siblings Kate and Teddy Pierce hatch a scheme to capture Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. When the plan goes awry, the kids join forces with a somewhat jolly Saint Nick and his loyal elves to save the holiday before it is too late.
The film features Elvish, a constructed language, which is spoken by Santa and the elves throughout the film. David J. Peterson is uncredited for his work on the translation to English. The Christmas Chronicles received mixed or average reviews from film critics. Although the computer-generated effects and camp style were criticised, Russell's performance was praised.
