The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild is an American computer animated comedy adventure film produced by Bardel Entertainment; and distributed by Disney+. The film is directed by John C. Donkin in his directorial debut and it's a spin-off to the Ice Age (series) and it's set BEFORE the events of Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) and Ice Age: Collision Course (2016).
It features Simon Pegg the only voice actor that reprises his role of Buck from previous films while the rest of the characters are voiced with different voice actors, The screenplay will be written by Ray DeLaurentis and William Schifrin.
The film will have a premiere on Disney+ on 28 January 2022.
Synopsis[]
After the events of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Buck saves Crash and Eddie after they fell back in the Dinosaur World through a hole in the ground and recruits them to help him in his new adventure.

Production[]
On October 2019, after Walt Disney Pictures bought 20th Century Fox, it was announced by Disney on Twitter that a Buck spin-off was in development. It was rumored to be a series until its updates.
On December 2020, it was revealed at the Disney Expo that a Buck spin-off film was almost finished and that it would be titled Ice Age: Adventures of Buck Wild and it was announced that Simon Pegg would reprise his role of Buck and that Crash and Eddie would be in the film. They also announced that it would have a premiere on Disney+ on early 2022. Later it was confirmed on Twitter that Seann William Scott and Josh Peck would reprise their roles of Crash and Eddie while the screenplay was announced to be written by Ray DeLaurentis and William Schifrin.
On August 2021, Batu Sener announced on his Instagram account that he will compose the score for the movie making his first feature score.

- The film was originally rumored to be a television series.
- It will be released for the 20th anniversary of the first Ice Age film.
- The film is set one month after the events of Ice Age: Collision Course (2016)
- Due to having the name Ice Age in the title some people confused it for Ice Age 6 which isn't true since Disney already said that it would be a spin-off. Plus, the film will focus on Buck while a sequel would have been focusing on Manny, Sid and Diego.
- It's the Ice Age to not feature Scrat.
- Some people have theorized that the T-Rex in the clip with unfinished animation showed by Disney will be the main antagonist of the film.
- This will be the first Ice Age media to not be produced by Blue Sky Studios but instead been produced by Bardel Entertainment and to be distributed by Disney+. This is caused by the closing of the Blue Sky Studios in 2021.
