The Neighbourhood Family Movie is a Mexican adult animated comedy film based on the series created by Arturo Navarro and Sergio Lebrija.

It premiered on 28 June 2024 on ViX.

Plot[]

El Noruego will travel back in time and accidentally prevent the War of Independence by getting Miguel Hidalgo drunk before he gives the shout.

Characters[]

The main characters are a family of five: Gaspar, his son Jonathan, el Abuelo, el Noruego, and his son Olaf. The 2D animation portrays a Mexican family living in a housing unit and focuses on the lives of the main characters and their neighbors; Peluzin, Pitipú, Don Sebas, El Pasita and La Señora Lameñongas.

Main[]

Gaspar: He is the main character of the series. He has a small beard, black hair, painted with red tips and wears earrings, a short-sleeved shirt and shorts with tennis shoes. He has a son named Jonathan, whom he loves and always tries to guide him on a good path, although his great-grandfather and the Norwegian try the opposite.

Jonathan: He is Gaspar's pre-teen son and great-grandson of Grandfather. He is one of the most mature characters in the whole series, although sometimes his grandfather and Norwegian corrupt him.

Grandfather: He is the paternal grandfather and great-grandfather of Gaspar and Jonathan respectively, whom he constantly insults and belittles, as he does with Norwegian, although on some occasions it has become clear that deep down he has great affection for them, especially Gaspar. He is often seen with a sex addiction, even going frequently to the brothel Tenta-Culo.

the Norwegian: He is Gaspar's best friend and a tenant who lives with the Barrio. He is quite lazy, as he refuses to get a job and does not contribute anything to the house, leaving Gaspar as the only breadwinner in the house. Noruego has a son, named Olaf. Grandfather dislikes him for being a “naco”, although they sometimes become friends. It is known that Noruego's mother was a prostitute, who abandoned him in an orphanage almost after his birth and his father was supposedly killed by a train.

Olaf: He is the Norwegian's son, who was born from an affair he had with a prostitute (possibly from the brothel they often visit). He appears for the first time in the episode Servant of Love in the first season.

Despite his young age, he shows mature and adult behaviors.

Secondary[]

Peluzin: He is the neighbor of the protagonist family, skinny and tall, who lives in the most deplorable apartment of the Pino Building. He is a delinquent who was in jail and then released, but continues to cause misdeeds.

Peluzin keeps his mother's bones at home, because when he went to bury her the manager told him it was $150 and he better bring her back. Throughout the series he has gotten everyone into trouble, from assaulting the main characters to swindling the whole building. His real name is Kike Lambreton.

Irma: Also known as “the oldest prostitute in the country”, she is the owner of the Tenta-Culo brothel, where she works as a waitress and prostitute, she is one of the most vulgar characters and is always making sexual advances on people. Physically, Irma is an elderly woman who shows no interest in the things going on around her (beyond her constant lust and anger at times) with white hair and rotten teeth, also her watery chichis as Peluzin mentions.

Don Sebas: A brujo-curandero from the pine tree building, he is a Puerto Rican man who came to Mexico to seek a better life. Before being a witch doctor, he dedicated his life to being a logistics manager, but he was so bad at his job that he was fired on the third day, after that he gained a few pounds and now lives in the building. He lacks hair and according to Norwegian he should use deodorant. He has a Puerto Rican accent and is very lustful.

Pasita: He is a peculiar old man with a squeaky voice who calls the characters saying “What happened Chiquitú” except for the grandfather who is called “Chiquitín”, since Pasita is also the stepfather of the grandfather, because he is married to his mother for two months, since the same day of the wedding the grandfather's mother was unfaithful to Pasita. He is a long-lived man of more than 200 years who loves grandpa very much (which is not the case of grandpa) although sometimes he is very stressful, senile, suffocating and unbearable, when someone comes to talk to him, he starts telling things of his time and makes everyone bored.

Pitipu: Pitipu is a man in his 40s, short in stature and quite religious.Previously, Pitipu was the leader of a gang of thugs on the U.S. border.

But at some point he left that life to “give it to God”, he is tattooed all over his body and is gray in color.

Mrs. Lameñongas: She is the owner of the Pino Building and who is in charge of collecting the rent very rarely, she is a perverted woman who wants to sleep with everything that moves (especially with the grandfather) she likes to be paid the rent with sex. Her main feature is her huge sagging bust. She also used to live in the building, as at one point in the series she passes away due to her advanced age.

Recurring[]

Güero: Peluzin's twin brother who proves to be as criminal and even worse than him, since he has no interest in the protagonist's family.

Pedrete: He is the rival of Abuelo, who was previously his best friend. The rivalry was caused by the conquest of a woman who would become Gaspar's grandmother.

He only appears in one episode, but becomes a background character.

Canela: She is Irma's robust companion in the brothel, displaying a choked voice. She is present in a few episodes, mostly as a background character.

Ortega: He is a friend of Jonathan. He is very immature and childish, making everyone wonder how he and Jonathan can be friends.
