Plot[]
After the death of her father, Dot (Belle), a deaf mute, moves in with her godparents, Paul and Olivia Deer, and their daughter, Nina. While there, she begins to be singled out for her condition by her schoolmates. Meanwhile, Nina exploits her condition by using her as a springboard for her darkest secrets, which backfires when Dot turns out to have a secret of her own.
