Theatrical Trailer[]
We begin with a pan shot of the sea at sunset.
- Announcer: In the most remote location on Earth... thousands of feet below the surface... (The camera dives down.) the unthinkable has happened.
The bubble transition plays, and we fade in on a black-and-orange car pulling up to a huge crowd. A figure steps out, wearing a black boot reading "S." The camera pans up to reveal SpongeBob SquarePants, and the crowd cheers. He and Mr. Krabs make their way to the scene of the crime.
- SpongeBob: Talk to me, Krabs.
- Mr. Krabs: Oh, it started out as a simple order. A Krabby Patty with cheese.
- SpongeBob: (Just after blowing a bubble) So what went wrong?
- Mr. Krabs: When the customer took a bite... NO CHEESE!!
- SpongeBob: I'm goin' in. (He takes his steps toward the Krusty Krab entrance. Policemen try to calm the panicking crowd.)
- Announcer: Now, the only thing that stands between an improperly made sandwich, and disaster, is the courage of one sponge.
Inside the Krusty Krab, the lone customer is terrified at the sight of his botched order. SpongeBob walked in.
- SpongeBob: Everything's gonna be just fine.
- Phil: Who are you?
- SpongeBob: (As he pulls a glove out of his briefcase) You got a family, Phil? (All Phil can do is shudder. SpongeBob snaps his fingers.) C'mon, Phil, stay with me; let's hear about that family! (He goes through his tools and finds...) Bingo.
- Phil: What?
- SpongeBob: (Just after he pulls out the magic ingredient...) Say cheese.
Then, in the most intense manner possible, SpongeBob fixes Phil's Krabby Patty. He kicks the door open, shocking the crowd. In his arms is Phil, with his Krabby Patty with cheese now done just as he ordered.
- SpongeBob: Order up.
The crowd, now cheering, runs toward SpongeBob and lifts him up.
- Crowd: Three cheers for the manager!
(The scene changes to SpongeBob bathing. He swallows a piece of soap, sticks a hose in one of his holes, and turns the water on.)
- Announcer: You may think that SpongeBob SquarePants is just your average, ordinary sea sponge... (He spits out all the soap and laughs. The scene changes to Bikini Bottom, with a clamshell crowing.) but now...
King Triton, wearing a paper bag on his head in place of his crown, aims his trident at Mr. Krabs, zapping him.
- SpongeBob: Huh?
- Announcer: (As Mr. Krabs bounces off the walls...) ...when his entire world is threatened... (...he eventually lands in a bucket of water. The scene changes to Plankton, shaking his fist.)
- Plankton: I WILL RULE THE WORLDDDDDD, heh-heh! (Beat.)
- SpongeBob: Well, good luck with that. (Just as he runs off, the scene changes to him and Patrick, running into a garage as their eyes expand.)
- Announcer: ...he'll get the chance...
- Plankton: SEIZE HIM!
- SpongeBob: (As an army of zombies with "CB" buckets over their heads lurches toward the screen) No! (Cut to King Triton threatening him and Mr. Krabs.) I won't let you!
- Announcer: ...to become the hero... (After sliding down poles, SpongeBob and Patrick land in the Krabby Patty-mobile.)
- SpongeBob: (Looking behind him, scared) STEP ON IT, PATRICK! (Patrick hits the gas, and the duo crashes through the wall of the Krusty Krab 2.)
- Announcer: ...no one ever imagined. (As he says this, the car reassembles itself, followed by a shot of SpongeBob and Patrick running from a monster whilst screaming. It cuts to a screen with bubbles in the background and 3D text reading...) Bigger. (A giant live-action hand reaches for SpongeBob and Patrick, and we get another screen reading...) Squarier. (SpongeBob screams at something, then we cut to yet another screen. Only this time, the text is yellow and squishy.) Spongier.
The scene pans to a shot of SpongeBob confidently looking at himself in the mirror. The back end of his pants falls down, exposing his butt. He notices, and turns around, covering himself and scurrying away in embarrassment. A life preserver with the movie's logo then washes up ashore.
- Announcer: The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.
Two hillbillies laugh at our heroes.
- Patrick: Are they laughin' at us?
- SpongeBob: No, Patrick. They're laughing next to us!
