Tracy Freeland is a fictional character appearing in the 2003 film thirteen, from which she serves as one of the two main characters. She is portrayed by Evan Rachel Wood.

Biography[]

Tracy's mother, Melanie, is a recovering alcoholic who works as a hairdresser to make ends meet. Despite her best efforts, she is unable to provide the financial stability that Tracy needs. As a result, Tracy has grown up feeling lonely and disconnected from the people around her.

At school, Tracy is an honor student but is not part of the popular crowd. However, when she meets Evie Zamora, the leader of the popular girls, her life changes dramatically. Evie introduces Tracy to drinking, drugs, and boys, and Tracy quickly finds herself immersed in a dangerous lifestyle.

Tracy finds herself developing feelings for Javi, one of the popular boys at school, and begins to explore her sexuality. However, she also finds herself struggling to resist the urge to destroy herself with her newfound lifestyle. Tracy needs to find a way to reconcile with her mother and keep from making the same mistakes that Evie has.

Personality[]

Tracy was once a sweet and hard working young girl, but upon entering her teenage years, her behavior has drastically changed. She has started to invite bad influences in her life, become abusive towards her body with drugs, alcohol, and irresponsible sex, as well as engaging in thieving and lying. Is this just a phase a fresh teen is going through? Those closest to her sure hope so.
