The film was announced by Awartsy Animations on June 7, with a teaser image of its story's hard copy shared on X (formerly known as Twitter). Awais Shaukat, the original story writer, illustrator, and co-founder of Awartsy, has been instrumental in the creation of the film. Rafhan Shaukat, co-founder of Awartsy and the film’s story reviser, hinted in a series of tweets that Under the Blaze will tackle the significant issue of child labor in Pakistan, bringing much-needed attention to the struggles faced by these children.[2]
