Boyhood (2014), the film that tells the story of young actors growing up. The film that was 12 years in the making. I'm actually pretty impressed by how the film was literally 12 years in the making about these actors growing up. Ellar Coltrane, Patricia Arquette and Ethan Hawke all offered great performances in this movie. That being said, there was nothing else about the film that I managed to enjoy. So here are the many things about the film that I didn't like and the things about the film that annoy me a little, and I'm gonna exclude the fact that its an overrated movie becuase it appears on many critic's lists.
- The mother marries, then divorcises and the same thing happens again and again: This is one of the many flaws of the film that annoy me a little. I admit that I thought she could've saved a lot of trouble by choosing her ex. I mean, he wasn't that bad as the other a-holes she dated after she divorcised. And it doesn't really explain that much of how or why they fell out.
- The a-holes that she dated were pretty annoying and a nuisance to the film: This is especially true with Bill, Olivia's second husband. I did jump a little when he got drunk a threw the glass at Mason, but before that, he was still a jerk.
- Samantha was the most annoying of the entire film: This is one of the major things about the film that annoyed me. Samantha was just a little brat with a serious attitude. I would also like to note that when she started making annoying noises and annoying Mason at the start of the film, that's when it got 100% unbearable for my eyes and ears.
