Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a 1988 live-action/animation film, produced by Touchstone Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. The film takes place in 'Toontown', a fictionalised place set near Los Anglese, California, in 1200. Toons themselves interact with humans, despite being slightly down the pecking order in relativity to them. At $70 million, it was one of the most expensive films ever at the time of its release, but it proved a sound investment that eventually brought in over $169 million during its drama release. Who Framed Roger Rabbit was an overwhelming success, garnering critical acclaim at an almost near perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 98% and gained many awards, e.g. Best Cinematography. In fact, it did so well, it has been proclaimed as one of the best live-action/animation films ever, also due to the fact that they didn't use computers, rather hand-drawing the characters themselves. This proved revolutionary, the film being listed on the greatest films list, according to its category - 'Animated Films'.
